Characters Present[]

Synopsis[]

Angelica brings her cat Fluffy over to the Pickles' house, where it makes a mess. When Angelica blames the cat's misdeeds on Spike, will Tommy be able to clear his dog's name?

- Description from Klasky Csupo

Plot[]

A heavy rainstorm forces the kids to play inside the house rather than outside in the backyard. Little did they realize that Angelica would bring her cat, that she has named Fluffy, who not only looks similar to Angelica, but acts a lot like her as well. While the children play, Drew and Didi see Stu's latest invention; a special coffee machine called the Letro Brewmeister 2000.

During the course of the day, Fluffy meets Spike, and the rambunctious feline destroys the house and many valuables, to which Spike gets spitefully framed by Angelica, leading to Didi putting him in the garage. Of course, Tommy, Phil, and Lil, who have been watching everything, have had enough of Fluffy's naughtiness. Tommy looks for his screwdriver to use to break out of the playpen, but is unable to find it as Angelica has taken it. After gleefully waving it in front of him, she uses it as a microphone to sing the Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme of "It's Raining, it's pouring. The Old Man is Snoring".

Luckily, Phil and Lil each have a screwdriver on them, so Tommy is finally able to break out of the playpen. The babies then tease Fluffy with her catnip ball, hoping to trick her into making a mess and getting caught by the grownups. Meanwhile, Stu is having problems getting the Brewmeister started, until Drew points out that his brother hadn't even plugged it in yet, resulting in Stu feeling sheepish.

Fluffy soon has Tommy cornered, but Spike leaps out of the garage and hurls Fluffy onto a bookcase, which falls with a big crash; the grownups hear this, and rush to see what's going on. Luckily, the babies quickly go back to their playpen whilst Spike goes back in the garage.

Angelica this time truthfully blames Spike and the babies. However, as Spike is still in the garage where Didi left him, the grownups don't believe her and Didi tells Angelica that it is wrong to lie and blame others.

Drew then takes Angelica and Fluffy home, with Angelica protesting that what she said is the truth. Drew gets a little annoyed, telling her that they'll talk about it when they get home, before yanking her out of the door.

Meanwhile, Stu, who has just taken a sip out of some coffee he had made from the Brewmeister, finds the taste horrible and spits it out in disgust. Didi lets Spike out of the garage and apologizes to him; he in turn gives her an affectionate lick. Stu then finds Fluffy's catnip ball that got left behind on the floor and both he and Didi assume it to be one of Spike's toys.

Spike then goes to Tommy and gives him several affectionate licks as a thank you for helping him.

Trivia[]

  • When Angelica shows her ballet dancing skills to the babies, an adaptation of Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" plays in the background.
  • Fluffy's eyes are light blue in this episode (as in the episode "Touchdown Tommy"), rather than the yellow they're shown as in later episodes. A couple times in this episode, there are coloring errors where her eyes are shown as yellow and as white.
  • Morals:
    • Innocent until proven guilty.
    • It is wrong to blame others for your own misdeeds.
